The Chaffee County housing market saw decreases in the number of home closings, both year-to-year and month-to-month in March. However, there was a significant uptick in home shopping activity as buyers executed contracts on homes. The number of listings in Pending status increased 82% from February and was 132% higher than March 2023. Those homes were actively available in REcolorado MLS for a median of 73 days, 28 days more than last year but 37 days less than last month. Throughout the month, 29% of homes that closed were priced in the $1-2 million range. As a result, the median closed price was 29% higher than both last year and last month.
