In July, 44 listings closed in Chaffee County, 10% more than both last year and last month. The median price for those homes was 12% higher than last year. The increase in closing price was due in large part to a 129% increase in closings on homes priced $700,000 to $1M. Buyer activity remained strong in July with 51 contracts executed on homes, 6% less than last year but 11% more than last month. Homes spent a median of 23 days actively available for sale. Throughout July, sellers added 62 new listings to the market, 20% less than last year and 18% less than last month. 19% of those new listings hit the market priced at $1M or more.
