The Chaffee County housing market saw a substantial increase in the number of home closings, both year-to-year and month-to-month in April following increased activity from home shoppers in March. In April, there were 48% more home closings compared to last year and 118% more than last month. Strong demand pushed up the closed price for a home to a median of $750,000. Buyers executed contracts on 36 homes in April, 8% fewer than last year. Those homes moved off the market in a median of 55 days. Sellers brought 56 new listings to the market, 7% less than last year but 17% more than last month.
