Year-To-Date Review
Although Chaffee County’s housing market remained competitive through the first half of the year, there are signs of a shifting market. The number of new listings sellers brought to the market is up 14% compared to the same point last year, bringing an increase in inventory. During the same timeframe, there were declines in both the number of pending and closed listings, which could be attributed in part to rising interest rates. Listings continued to move off the market quickly, in a median of just 6 days. Median closed prices continue to increase thanks to strong sales of homes in higher price ranges.
